    Oh No

I originally went to an internal medicine doctor in Sept 2010 for the fatigue I was feeling. He ran blood tests and ordered 3 units of blood. He said I was anemic and to take one iron tablet daily but never mentioned how messed up my blood work really was. Fast forward to April 2012 and the fatigue was back so I went to a local family doctor expecting the anemia was back & I needed blood. That afternoon the family doctor called and said to come back to the office. When I got there, he dropped the bomb that he thought I had acute myelogenous leukemia but he wanted me to go to an oncologist for further assessment He also had gotten the records from the internal medicine doctor and he was shocked that I wasn't treated back in 2010 since my wbc as well as my platelets were so out of whack. I recieved 2 units of blood that night and the next morning drove 2 1/2 hrs to the Comprehensive Cancer Center where I met with the oncologist and had a bone marrow biopsy. My results came in about 8 days later and I was diagnosed with Ph+ Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia-accelerated phase( Ph+CML-AP) My oncologist as well as my primary care physician both think I had the CMLback in 2010 and it had been progressing for the last 2 1/2 yrs.
