    External radiation

    Radiation

My husband just started radiation on Monday Aug. 20 and according to the Dr side effects were not going to effect him until about the 4th week. Not so much the first day after radiation he came home and took a two hour nap and then around dinner time he became nauseated. Its has been that way every day. I am hoping with the medication for nausea will help and then getting into a new routine his fatigue will subside some. I have a feeling it will get worse and take some getting use to.

    Painless Experience: Neutral/NA
    Minimal Side Effects: Disagree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Disagree

    Wide excision surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

In may my husband went in for a wide excision for a tumor in the interior of is Butt (close to the rectum. By the time he got it removed in the matter of about 3 week it had went from 2mm to 2.4mm and 10mm deep. the doctor had told us that is should be a one day procedure in and out. Not so much he ended up staying over night with lots of pain. The pain took about 3 weeks to subside so our lives were pretty much home bound because the pain took a lot out of him. Oh yeah and we made one run to the er because his stitches popped never knew the butt could bleed so much but it can.

    Went as Expected: Strongly Agree
