    Clinical Trial

The clinical trial my grandson had is not working. I think we realy got our hopes up that this would work, and we are dealing with a let down and still searching for something that will work!

Anemia (low red blood cell counts)

    Side Effects

Mr. K, my grandson has had too many side effects too count!. Some days are worse then others! It's really hard somedays because he wants to be a "normal" 4 yr. old boy and play and we have to tell him "no", you have to be so careful, because your platelets are low and even if you only get a tiny scratch, you will bleed and bleed. It just seems so unfair!

    Decision Point

My daughter and son-in-law are at at a place in Mr. K's treatment that a decision will have to be made soon! As a parent and grandparent, I'm not sure what I can or should do to support them. It's not going to be easy, whatever they decide!
