    Drug or Chemo Therapy

First two rounds done with 6 consecutive days in hospital followed by two weeks off. Very strong dosage. Checked results at Md. Anderson only to find tumor had grown a small amount but not spread. Next two rounds on a different type that was out patient. Same results. Chemo was halted and radiation was started.

    Radiation

30 radiation appt. done at Md. Anderson in Houston 3 hours from home. Radiation was not that bad other than severe sun burn like symptoms. Only saw wife and kids on weekends and that was hard.

    Procedure or Surgery

Went into surgery expecting complete scapula removal. Given the option to have a prosthetic scapula and decided against that option. Once surgery began, surgeons did not have to take the entire scapula. Physical appearance did not change with shirt on. Mobility is a work in progress. My particular surgery was a first so I just have to wait and see.

    Now what?

    Oh No

I am now very confused and uncertain. I praise God every day for my success so far. Only three weeks out from surgery, I am confused. I feel a little lost after facing my treatment plan every day. Now I am done and I don't know how to feel. I need to get back to work, but jumping back in to a meaningless empty job I don't like seems so useless. I feel that given this second chance, I would like to do something positive but what. I don't want to spend any time worrying about cancer coming back, but that is hard. All in all, I feel like treatment ended abruptly and I was in no way prepared for the next step. I never expected to feel this way.
