    Misdiagnosed

    Oh No

Hello, I have always worried about cancer due to my mother dying at 47 from it, i was 18 at the time . then lost my ex husband to it, the father of my two oldest children, he was 46, then two years ago lost my dad to it went in the hospital they found out he had cancer said needed to have chemo or he would die within a month, if had chemo could possibly live a year and a half, lung is what he had that had spread to his prostrate, so he agreed on the chemo. started it on friday , saturday and sunday and by the following monday he was dead. i believe he was overdosed on the chemo. I had what i thought was a bladder infection, due to some pressure but not really pain, and did have some swelling in my abdomen , thought it was gas or constipation. went to the doctor , said they thought it was irritable bowel gave me some meds, a couple days later my husband said your not better we are going to the hospital and at first i was like no and i really wasent concerned like normally i would be freaking out, got there and they did a cat scan and came back , i was convinced it was ibs or diverticultis. well they told me it was ovarian cancer and i just went to pieces, had to be sedated for about three days, was so frightend felt like my life was over.

    Abdominal hysterectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

First let me start by saying my doctors were wonderful and i am very grateful for their concern and caring, i had the surgery got a good report afterward , but the pain was really rough, and had some on my bladder so that was more pain, stayed 8 days in hospital, came home ,had some other issues so ended up back in hospital for 2 days for testing to make sure my bladder wasent leaking, it wasent, came home and started chemo

    Went as Expected: Agree
    Minimal Recovery: Strongly Disagree
    Minimal Side Effects: Disagree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Disagree

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Started the chemo but was so nauseated still from the surgery couldnt eat hardley anything but i always have had issues with anestitic, so started the chemo , they say it normally has problems on the third day, not me mine is the fifth sixth and seventh day, started with nausea but not horrible, then came the cramps in my feet and lower legs, and that was rough the first couple of times, but the third treatment was doing great and all of a sudden started throwing up and ended up in the hospital for 3 days and in so much pain in my upper gastric they did a scope which came back ok, thought it was from the chemo , till my daughter ended up in the hopital for the same thing , so we figured out it was a bug not the chemo. just finished up my fourth chemo. this was the easiest so far some cramps and very little nausea, mainly just had two days of severe fatigue

    Easy to Do: Disagree
    Minimal Side Effects: Disagree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Disagree

to try to live everyday to the fullest

    Decision Point

I sat and worried about the cancer of course and one day i was going to the store and had stopped at a green light to see what the car facing me was going to do, and this woman ran the red light, had i pulled out she would have hit me and more than likley killed me, so i take that as GOD telling me quit worring ,you could be gone because of something else so live . the cancer may take me, but i am going to try to live everyday as much as i can. dont get me wrong its still very scary but worring is wasting the time i have to do other things, and so i want to love , show love, teach others to love and be loved. and i have been shown more love in these last three months than i could have ever imagined.
