Diagnosed
Oh No
Clear cell carcinoma discovered within cyst during surgery.
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
I'm in cycle 2 of a 6 cycle treatment plan. The first cycle was extremely difficult! Side effects were crazy and I have now been diagnosed with chemo-induced neutropenia that landed me back in the hospital for a week. Tweaks have been made to my treatment for this cycle so I am of the opinion that it will go swimmingly well and we won't encounter any issues!
Hair loss
Oh No
Hair loss was really tough for me. Began 2 weeks after first chemo and remaining bits shaved off a few days before treatment #2. In the grand scheme of things, not really a big deal but really traumatic at the onset. Silly, huh? Bought a wig but find myself wearing scarves more often; wig makes me feel self-conscious even though it is beautifully made. This too shall pass and the hair will come back eventually!
