Double Mastectomy
Procedure or Surgery
Dealing with the drains were the worst part.
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
I had my treatments every other Thursday so I was usually sick through the weekend and usually returned to work on Wednesday.
Body part/function
Loss
Before my first treatment, I donated my hair to locks of love. I started loosing my hair after the second treatment. My friends and family had a hat party for me so I was able to coordinate my hats and wraps with my work clothes. I also learned how to wrap a turban with a scarf.

Zometa, Zolodex, Metformin and Tamoxifen
Other Care
I visit the cancer center every three months for a Zolodex shot in the tummy, every six months for a Zometa infusion and take metformin and tamoxifen daily. The metformin treats a fatty liver which is most likely caused by the other medications.
