    Swallowing problems

    Side Effects

Due to radiation to my lungs I took double pnumonia after 10 of 14 days in hospital on strong antiboitics I developed a yeast infection in my throat, hard to swallow anything burns and very uncomfortable. The cancer wasn't so bad, It's the side effects of the cure that causes the problem/

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I have found that my memory is at a loss, but I am slowly getting it back. I did not think about chemo drugs going through my brain killing good cells as well as bad.

    Side Effects

I didn't realize that the chemo going through my brain would cause memory loss, I am recovering now and my memory is getting better.

    Decision Point

Talked to Chemo Doc the 4th. Radiation Doc the 6th. they plan on starting both on the 18th. Since this is my second round with cancer I know a little more of what to expect, but that doesn't make me any more ready. The last time I lost a lot of my memory, this time I am going to try doing more memory work with friends that are ready to help me. I am truly blessed The Good Lord got me through the first time and I know He will be with me through this time.

    Remission

    Celebration

I met with my cancer Dr. last week. and got a good report. I had fallen and broke my left hip on Jan. 20 and had surgery on the 21st. I was sent home on the 23rd. On the 5th of Feb. I met with him, He said by the way I was getting around and walking ( w/walker ) that by my quick recovery I must be pretty healthy, and my blood-work was good, and he didn't think the cancer could be back. I go in for a CT scan in April for my 6 mo check-up. I'm not to worried though The Lord is with me. when the Dr. ask how was I recovering so quickly from the hip surgery, I told him I had people all over the country praying for me, and that is all it takes. you see, I know, there is nothing more powerful than the power of Prayer. May the Good Lord Bless and keep you all

My first Lung cancer in my upper left lobe being cured, And my second Lung cancer in my lower left lobe in mm, I am truly blessed. I had to have 720 ml. fluid taken off my lower left lobe a few weeks ago, and am on predisone to try to dry my lungs I go in for X-rays next week to find out if I'm drying up inside. As usual I pray for all Cancer patients, Please remember me in your prayers as well. On a brighter note, as I fell and broke my left Jan.20, was pined back together the 21st. I am now pretty well recovered, and have Joined The Christian Motorcycle Assoc. Ridding for The Son. As I have said, "I am truly BLESSED"

    Oh No

I'm on my 3rd. round of lung cancer. I've completed 6 chemo treatments so far and only 12 to go. To make it interesting I guess, my Dr. found some cancer in my ribs as well in the cracks where I had broken them before, O well, the good Lord got me through the first 2 rounds of lung cancer on the left side, I have no doubt He will get me through this. I have been truly blessed. I'm on a 3 week on 1 week off cycle with 6 cycles planed. I;m on that fairly new drug Abraxon if I'm spelling that right. and aside from fast hair loss I feel actually feel better after chemo than before. Who da thunk it. :)
