I was first dIagnosed with LCIS in both breast. I had had numerous biopsys and couldn't take the worry and waiting any longer. I talked with my surgeon 2 or 3 times and made the most important dississoun of my life. Of course I talked with my family, and a few friends. And opted to have a bilateral mastectomy. Over kill was a lot of the feelings I had. I was afraid of getting the C word. I made it threw my surgery spent 3 days in the hospital, thank God for my Husband and Daughter (my daughter works in a cancer center). I had drain tubes and I'll be truthful, I was a mess. I had expanders put in to stretch my skin for implants. But I beat that C word, so I thought. When I went back to the surgeon for my 2week check up she had tears in her eyes I had stage11 breast cancer, all my worst nightmares came true. I was in shock. As the doctor and my Daughter was too. They had found another spot that the Mamagram didn't see. This ment I had to have chemo and the C word got me! I was XXX! After several days of disbelief my Daughter did the homework hooked me up at her cancer center with a oncologist and my journey began. I had to heal before I started my chemo, that gave me a chance for everything to sink in.I needed to take one round of chemo, four treatments, my hair was gonna fall out I was gonna be sick and ache . The oncologist said there was another round different I could take as well to up
