Diagnosed
Oh No
It didn't seem real....things like this happen to others
To give the ok for surgery.
Decision Point
Didn't want to beleive that if I didn't have surgery that I would not make it.
Surgery
Procedure or Surgery
Didn't know what to expect after surgery.....I was hooked up to morphine pump after surgery and told to push button before pain got to bad. Didn't listen and remember being is such pain that the pump did't work and all I could do was cry out to God. Believe be, I didn't hesitate to hit the morphine pump after that. I really hated not being able to do things for myself....even go to the bathroom...I was surprised that I was able to go home on the third day. The surgery was on my daughter's sixteenth birthday.....felt really bad for her.....she was the hardest one to tell that I had cancer. I can't image going through such a thing without God. I never really had the fear factor set in as people said I would...What an AWESOME GOD we serve!!
right kidney removed- cancer free
Celebration
I was truly blessed.....no treatments were necessary!!! It has been alittle over six years now. Still go for yearly check-ups. Cancer doesn't run in our family. Did some research and found out that obesity is a contributing factor. Even after all this, I still struggle with obesity.
