    Cancer is back/Recurred

    Oh No

    Cancer had returned, same side, 3 years post lumpectomy and radiation.

    Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

    They tried to reconstruct at the time of the mastectomy, but because I had been radiated 3 years prior, there were problems

    Tissue would not expand due to radiation

    Side Effects

    Did two months of Hyperbaric Therapy to try and soften the radiated tissue, plus had a capsulectomy to cut away developing scar tissue
