    Sentinel lymph node biopsy

    Procedure or Surgery

During the initial surgery, removal of the tumor... they moved on to the sentinel lymph nodes and found another tumor larger is size that they didn't know was there. When I woke up they explained that the surgery did not go as expected as there was a second tumor found involving the lymph nodes. They had to removed more breast tissue than anticipated and I had a drain that I was expected to measure the fluid my body expelled.
