Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
Mom just finished her second round of chemo. The results have been very positive. Her CA 19-9 is down to 40 now and her white blood cell count is up quite a bit. The side-effects have been very difficult on her though. Her hair is almost all gone, she now has hand and foot disease and she is constantly nauseous, very tired and has quite a bit of back pain. She's a fighter though and is determined to make it through all 8 rounds. Also, my dad just bought her a treadmill so she can continue her physical fitness/walking routine this winter. All in all, this has been a very good week for us, given our circumstances.
