    Misdiagnosed

    Oh No

In 2005 I was misdiagnosed with a minor skin infection. Something was eating my skin making large deep holes. But the doctors insisted it was just a minor skin infection maybe just a rash from detergent.

    External radiation

    Radiation

I started radiation treatment in 2010. Caught a bad staph infection from having to cover and uncover my open cancer wounds. The radiation aggravated my sores so bad the pain was unbearable. The doctors gave me pain pills, and sleeping pills. Which to me was a big no, no. But they supposedly know what they are doing. WRONG!! They kept on doing radiation frying the staph deeper into my body. Until I said no more. I want something for the staph now, no more radiation it isn't working.

    Targeted therapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Finally, the VA started chemo treatments trying to target the tumors since it had infected my lymph nodes, collar bones, breast plate, and part of my ribs. I am on my 4th type of chemo, and it still is not working. Chemo tears you down. You are so week you just wish that you would die. Your bones, joints hurt constatly. And you can't eat or sleep. It seems like every smell, taste makes you so sick. So far its been stopped in its tracks, but for how long. They can't do surgery on me until they can shrink the tumors. And nothing seems to be shrinking the tumors. What a battle!! I have looked up every site possible about basal cell and squamous cell carsinoma. The pictures don't even come close. I have been told that doctors are surprised that I am still alive considering the extensive mess I am in. They need to let people know that this type of cancer can eat away your skin like a flesh eating bateria. Its awful, and painful.
