    Cancer has spread/Metastasized

    Oh No

The Doctor had thought the cancer had spread to my bones. I was given approximately a year or less. The social worker was called into to offer me support. I think I was in shock for a few moments before I could re-act to my situation. The hardest thing was to tell my children. So, I returned home with my death sentence. I opted for the chemo and radiation after the tests showed the cancer had not spread to the bones. What I had was a chance to fight.

A couple of weeks after the diagnosis I was determined to go on with the treatsments.

    Decision Point

I was terrified with my first appointment with chemotherapy. I thought for sure that I would be violently ill. I was listening to too many horror stories. To my surprise I was able to take a nap and eventually relax. I recieved two types of very agrressive chemo. Thankfully i did well with it. Then to radiation. After a few weeks of this I could not lift my arm so well or move around so quickly but my body excepted these intrusions and the cancer went into remission. I even kept my hair.
