    Whipple Procedure for pancreatic cancer

    Procedure or Surgery

My cancer experience actually atarted in March of 2008. I was slicing potatoes and cut off a portion of my little finger. At the hospital they fixed the finger and took an x-ray and found a smal spot on my left lung. After many talks with my pulmanologit I had surgury to remove the spoit. That was Dec. 8th, 2008. It turned out to be lung cancer and they took half of my left lung. Five months later I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I went through chemotherapy and radiation both separately and then together. Those treatments ended in January of 2010. I am now cancer free and plan on staying that way for many more years.
