    Oh No

Everyone asked if I was angry about getting cancer. I was scared and upset, but realized that there are so many of us that have had breast cancer that I would say why not me? I am no different that anyone else. I was probably the healthiest at the time of diagnosis, which probably helped. I also continued to work the entire time.

    Sentinel lymph node biopsy

    Procedure or Surgery

I had sentinel lymph node biopsy when I had my mastectomy. The injection of the nuclear medicine was painful! I practiced lamaze!! I still remembered from so many years ago. It did turn out that cancer cells were in 2 nodes and 13 were removed.

    Allergic reaction

    Side Effects

During my chemo - I had adriomyacin with cytoxin. Apparently, you need to be careful how much sun you get with the adriamyacin - I got sun poisoning and had to take steroids, wear different clothing and sun hats. Be careful!
