    6 month check up.

    Oh No

Not prone to be too emotional, I notice that I am 'teary' or 'worn' at the idea of going in for my 6 month checkup. It was actually scheduled for this past Thursday, but I canceled the cat scan and the visit with my thoracic surgeon. (scaredy cat! ;-) ) ...sigh. I rescheduled for Sept. 20. Now I wish I would have just gotten it over with. I feel sorta anxious, raw, ...the feeling of the unknown. WOW! I guess we all have that! ...that fear of the unknown looms large. Maybe all our sign in names should be 'brave heart' :-) ...each and every one of us, we all have such brave hearts. :-) We are all Brave Hearts! Anyway, that is my OH NO! ... scared of the next check up.

    Nervous

    Oh No

Tomorrow is my check up - cat scan then meet with my thoracic surgeon. Can't help but feel nervous (honestly, this week has been horrible) ... wondering if the cancer is back or if I get another reprieve. The anxiety is horrible. Not sure I want to know anyway. (I guess I do, but then again I do not - if that makes sense) I was told that rarely in the first 6 month check up does cancer show up again (after removal) ... but was told that there are no guarantees. Hopeful of course. More will be revealed.

    chemo or no chemo

    Decision Point

met with the team, was told research indicates that there is no evidence that chemo will help or not help in preventing the cancer from coming back. anyway, opted not to have chemo.
