    Diagnosed

    Oh No

Wow, If there was ever a time I was knocked flat --this was it. I am an "in control" person. This in one time I had no control, and I had to turn to others for direction. I am so very thankful for a husband that has been so totally supportive and things were no different this time.

    Now what?????

    Oh No

My Dr. left her practice and I did not know where she was. I didn't know what I was supposed to do at the end. The surgeons I had did not have those answers for me. So I felt totally at a loss at that point. It took me another 6 months to get my head back on "pretty straight".

    Double Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

Finding out I had cancer in both breasts was scary. Finding out that I was very early in finding it still scary!! It was easy for us to decide on a double mastectomy, as neither of us wanted to go through this again, if that is possible. Both my husband and I are realists, I think very pragmatic and wanted to do what was best for the future as well as the present.
