    Think Pink

    Celebration

My bowling league had a Think Pink Party for me on Oct 19th. Everyone wore pink to show their support and to wish me well. We all looked like Pepto Bismol and Good N Plenties in all the different shades of pinks and even some purples. I cant wait to be able to bowl again

    Lumpectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

On Oct 25th I had a lumpectomy and also had my lymph nodes removed under my left arm. The surgery went well. I was not expecting to have a JP drain attached to my side. My left arm feels like I was given a HUGE shot of novicaine. ( so if my typing is hard to decipher its because my arm is on a permanent buzz) My surgeong said this should let up in a few weeks. I am having another PET Scan done before my follow up which is Nov 7th. I don't know when I will have port implanted. ( I do know it will be in a few weeks) Had JP drain taken out on HALLOWEEN ( Treat no trick felt good to wash my hair by myself)

    Went as Expected: Agree
    Minimal Recovery: Neutral/NA
    Minimal Side Effects: Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Disagree

    Decision Point

I meet with the oncologist on the 25th of November. She said the visit would be about an hour. I guess we are going to talk about standard treatments and also clinical trials.
