    Health insurance issue

    Oh No

Insurance company did not initially cover a $5,000 test my oncologist ordered.

Insurance company partially approved the claim

    Celebration

After grieving the insurance company's initial denial, they agreed to pay $4000 of the $5000 cost of the test. Then when I contacted the laboratory that performed the test, they provided patient assistance so I only had to pay $450 of the remaining balance.
