    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I have always gone for mammograms every year. I felt a something not really a lump and it would come and go, I thought it was period related. When I went in for my yearly exam I did not tell my doctor. She did the breast exam and said have you felt anything and I said yes and told her the story. She said it did not feel like a lump but a thickening, and thought it was nothing to worry about but wanted a mamm and an ultra sound. Well my mamm showed nothing and the ultra sound only found it because they could feel something. My MRI did not even show how big it was. Before surgery my doc thought it was maybe 5cm but when they got in ther it was 6.8cm which is almost 3 in. So my story is don't trust a mamm do self exams.

    External radiation

    Radiation

I did burn really bad but I have no feeling under my arm so I can't say it was bad. It was gross with the weeping and my clothes sticking to me. I am now at the peeling stage.

    Finished treatment

    Celebration

My friends did have a little dinner for me when I finished radiation. It was nice but it is also scarey when treatment is done.
