    Breast Reconstruction (Implant)

    Procedure or Surgery

Bilateral w expanders... I came home from hosp...2 days later I had staph infection is left breast area... back into surgery to remove expander. Right side never fully healed and also had to be removed several weeks later. Such a disappointment. I think the reconstruction was worse than the actual mastectomy!

    Offered

    Clinical Trial

I was so freaked out that I EVEN HAD cancer... I just couldn't agree to a study. I guess now that I'm looking back, it may sound a bit selfish to some but I just wanted the treatment to be over and I wanted to get back to living.
