    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I was first diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma back in 1997 at the age of 23. My second round with cancer was back in 2001 . Then in October of 2010, I noticed a bump on the left side of my neck no bigger than a pimple. By November it had grown considerably. It look like I was growing a second head. I of course went to a Dr who suggested that I have a biopsy, which by the way came back inconclusive. So he the opted to remove the whole thing, results were not good at all... I was once again diagnosed with melanoma.

    Procedure or Surgery

my current diagnoses is metastatic melanoma stage IV. Unfortunately I'm not under any treatment so I have tumors growing all over my body. There are days that are ok but lately I've been under a great amount of pain, just last night I awoke around midnight to some excruciating pain, the likes I've never felt before. The best thing I can compare it to is as if i was totally engulfed in fire. Unfortunately My insurance hasn't made it easy for me to seek treatment of for that sake , get my meds to help with the pain. I was getting help at M.D Anderson in Houston but unfortunately my insurance refuse to work with them, thus I was refused treatment.

    Decision Point

I have never let it control my thoughts,or my will to live. I refuse to feel sorry or pity for myself. I much rather see the perfection in this phase of my life. Despite it all I'm very thankful for all the wonderful things I've been blessed with and appreciate all the small things most people take for granted.
