Diagnosed
Oh No
So far the diagnosis is that I am if I understand correctly a triple negative patient. I know I am BRCA 1 positive and have a 5cm stage I mass in my right breast. I trust the team at UCLA who have worked with me in close proximity for 9 years although the N/P I was working with for seven years has moved to Cedars. I recommended double mastectomy the surgeon said most likely with chemo after. That is the part I do not want. Of course much depends on the results of lymph nodes- during surgery. Any one know if people like me just out rightly refuse the chemo?
Surgery
Decision Point
The decision for me to have reconstruction or not depends heavily on the results about my lymph nodes. Any one out there with similar experience ?
