Diagnosed
Oh No
After a routine visit to my primary care for high blood pressure medicine, my doctor said "What's that in our throat, it dosen't look normal". After several Endocronologist visits, a detailed fine needle procedure, I found I had thyroid cancer that spread into my lymph nodes. Felt naseuous daily at the same time and thought it was related to the thyroid. After an endoscopy I found I had a GIST, rare stromal tumor in my stomach. Had a total throidectomy and 5 months later, removal of the GIST. Doing OK now, but challenging. Still having radiation treatments.
