Mom diagnosed in July 2011 with Stage VI Colon Cancer with mets to the liver. Scheduled my 1st colonoscopy in August 2011 & a Stage 2A tumor was found in the same area as Mom's.
Colon surgery (colectomy or hemicolectomy)

Had laparoscopic surgery Sept 13, 2011. Recovery didn't go as well as I expected due to a infection at the end of a couple staples 2 weeks after surgery. I was off work a total of 5 weeks.

Recurrence score is 21 which means there is only a 13% chance of recurrence in 3 years.
2nd Opinion
Drug or Chemo Therapy
My oncologist says no chemo needed. Requested a 2nd opinion from Mom's oncologist in Colombus OH & based on my Oncotype DX test results, he agreed that I do not need chemo.
