    Conization

    Procedure or Surgery

Had a miscarriage in Feb 2011. Bleeding and pain became gradually worse. Went to see OB/GYN in September and was scheduled for a D&C and conization in October. Received results that all tissue removed from the uterus was cancer. Cervical cancer diagnosis had been missed d/t cancer grew up into the uterus rather than out onto the surface of the cervix.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Even though the chemo treatments were only one day a week (on Tuesdays) I was unable to work extra shifts at work and required several rest breaks on the weekends when I was still working. Thankful that I was able to continue to work those shifts, at least, thanks to the pain improving and caring co-workers.
