    Diagnosed

    Oh No

Had all the usual concerns and issues. Was still recovering from a ruptured brain aneurysm five months earlier and the idea of having to fight for my life all over was mind boggling.

    Targeted therapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Not sure what Herceptin is actually considered but I was not able to take the full course of it due to congestive heart failure resulting from the drug. Stopping this treatment was one of the hardest things I had to do because it felt like I was no longer fighting. It took me months to realize, emotionally, that it was in my best interest but had some rough times in those months.

    Easy to Do: Neutral/NA
    Minimal Side Effects: Strongly Disagree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Disagree

    Finished treatment

    Celebration

Of course finishing up all the procedures was cause for celebration but I now know that every day is a celebration and in a few weeks I will become a Grandmother for the first time. There were a lot of times that I was afraid that I would not live to see this blessing in my life but here I am and loving every minute of it!!
