    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

Almost died of Sepsis received in the hospital after a radical hysterectomy and oophorectomy. Than later had pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis and cardiac issues after the surgery. So the complications after the surgery almost did me in more than the endometrial cancer itself. In addition now have Multiple Myleloma but cannot stage it or treat it until I stop taking the coumadin for the blood clots and I need to have a biopsy of the bone marrow to stage the MM.

    Infection

    Side Effects

Had Sepsis after the surgery and urinary problems, abdominal fluid buildup, severe pain, very sick for severl weeks even though the robotic surgery went well. Later due to weakness, went back to a third hospitalization within a month due to TIAs and cardiac problems, than a few months later almost died a third time from Pulmonary Embolism and Deep Vein Thrombosis which started to enlarge my heart. A few more hospitalizations later five in all from Febraury to July 2012, find out with two different lab tests two months apart have lab results pointing to Multiple Myleloma. I wonder if the Sepsis etc caused the Myleloma.

    My mind/Sense of Humor

    Loss

Just when I thought the robotic surgery would allow me to heal quickly, I ended up with several life threatening complications in 2012 and was getting more and more depressed until I went into cancer support groups. After my endometrial diagnosis, I joked and still had a sense of humor and felt hope for the best until the Sepsis, blood clots, and cardiac issues. As this is not enough being diagnosed with a second cancer known as Multiple Myleloma
