    Diagnosed

    Oh No

It was a terrifying few months between diagnosis and staging and treatment plan. We took extra time getting a second opinion before deciding on treatment. This period of indecision and waiting was the most unsettling, painful time I have ever experienced. From the moment I was diagnosed, for several months ,all I could think of was that I wanted to go back to before I was diagnosed. I had a lot of trouble accepting the reality that it was happening to me. And, not knowing the stage immediately, as it takes time to do determine the stage, was excruciating for me. I was overcome with the idea that I would get treated and then relapse over and over until I died. That time was so out of my control, and that was a first in my own health up until that time.

    Procedure or Surgery

I had one lymph node in my left groin removed, an outpatient procedure that was very straightforward.
