Celebration
I did six months of chemo- Fol-fox 6-, then I had re-occurance in my ovaries- another surgery, so 6 months more treatment the following year.. Really kicked my booty. but it ( I) did well. so I was NED, at that time. so happy, Clear for 5 yrs, then bingo-bammo, I had another re-occurance, and it came back, or matasisized to my lungs. :( So another surgery to "look around" and well...
Again surgery & chemo to stop the growth
Decision Point
So the wonderful oncologists I have had, recommed the 3rd surgery, to look and see whats' up in my colon/abdomin, etc. alot to go thru if u ask me. but hey I wasn't gonna give up on this fight- This was and IS not going to get me. I follow the Drs decisions and am now again a chemo patient on-going for 3 continous years now! That part sucks but- IT IS WHAT IT IS! And I am dealing w/ it the best way I can. A good positive out-look & faith!
U name it-
Side Effects
From loss of appitite to mouth sores, nausea, diarrhea, fatique, weakness, pain, metal taste, got em all. now I have teen-age acne, or sores all over, cannot be in sunlight, chemo brain(yes it happens), some hair loss- (I an lucky) finger nails sore & cracks, crap, I forget em all.. But hey I am good!
Other
Other Care
I have had the best Oncologists-, and the nurses! What can a person say about the special oncology nurses who help you thru all the BS and care & thoughtful-ness! I do so admire them all I have had. They are so special to me. and their work is so hard yet you don't see them complain. They are Angels!
