    However, I did have the axillary node dissection at the same time, and have mild lymphedema from it.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

    5-FU, Methotextrate, cytoxin, every 3 weeks for 3 months, then radiation, them 3 1/2 years of tamoxifen, ovaries out, then 4 years of femara.

    Side Effects

    Burning of underside of breast in the 5th week or radiation. Pneumonia from the chemo.... hot flashes from the Tamoxifen.
