    Misdiagnosed

    Oh No

Had been midiagnosed for 3 years. Had undergone multiple episodes of physical therapy for my "tendonitis" Then had problems getting my insurance company to ok my care at the sarcoma clinic at Moffitt.

    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

I had the first surgery in May for the removal of what they thought was a lipoma in my left forearm. I then had a 2nd surgery at Moffitt Cancer Center to try and obtain clear margins. I didn't lose any function in my arm. I do have some residual numbess between my incision and hand and often have discomfort especially when the weather changes.

    External radiation

    Radiation

I was very fortunate to have and excellant radiation oncologist and facility next door to where I work. I was able to go during my lunch hour and get my radiation treatments. I had 38 treatments with just some fatigue and burns near the end of the treatments. I never had to skip any days of treatment but arm was pretty raw the last week of treatment.

    Fatigue (tiredness)

    Side Effects

I think some of the fatigue was more from just the general stress of the situation rather than from the treatments themselves.
