    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

First surgery was on july 17th. The mass had already been confirmed by CT. It was an excisional biopsy, meaning the ent surgeon was going to try and take away all the tumor and send it all to pathology. The surgeon was pretty confident he took everything out and he said there was no more tumor left.

    Went as Expected: Disagree
    Minimal Recovery: Agree
    Minimal Side Effects: Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Agree

    Diagnosed

    Oh No

A pathologist friend of the family did the pathology report the next day. He classified it as small, round, blue cell tumor which in and by itself is malignant and had to be further subclassified. This was done in the course of the next 3 days. Immunohistochemical analysis reported it as a SNUC (Sinonasal Undifferentiated Carcinoma). Up until now everything had been done in Mexico.
