    Hormone therapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

All side effects he experienced. Extremely tired, sore nipples, moody, weight gain, etc. After his PSA continued to rise, he made decision to go off Lupron. He felt his quality of life on the drug wasn't worth taking it, especially since it no longer was working. This was in 2012.

    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

Due to extreme pain and size of tumor, surgery done for spinal fusion with plate and screws. Removal of as much of tumor as possible without risking paralysis. Unfortunately spinal artery does not allow for complete removal. After 6 weeks, radiation to be performed.

Started Zytiga a little over a week ago. Continues to be exhausted and doesn't feel well but has to do with metastasized cancer. Continues to walk 3 miles a day, though it is getting more difficult.
