Diagnosed
Oh No
When having my mammogram in January I knew they found a "spot". Five xrays were taken of the right breast before I left the hospital. Approximately a week later, I received a letter asking me to contact the doctor for a follow-up mammo and ultrasound.

Family Death
Oh No
Four days after I was released from the hospital, my father passed away.
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
My first chemo was the worst. I didn't know what to expect, I was anxious and scared. But, I had very, very few side effects. I did run a fever after the first treatment. And, about a month or two after my chemo ended, my finger nails separated from the nail beds. I had very few side effects.
External radiation
Radiation
I was more fatigued with radiation than with chemo. And, it seemed as though the end would never arrive. But, as of tomorrow (9-25-12) I will be finished with radiation. I did well...the only break I took was Labor Day because the oncology department closed for the holiday.
