    Diagnosed

    Oh No

Biggest concern and thought when I heard the news was how do I tell my spouse.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I tried an oral chemo drug and had extreme side effects from it. My cancer had already spread too my lungs and I was looking for anythng that would prevent it from spreading further. The drug didn't work because it came back again in my lungs, we continued treatment to see if the tumor would shrink but it kept growing. Was not worth the pain and discomfort. The quailtiy of life is far more important. The drug was Nexavar.

    Side Effects

I had hand and foot blisters as well as a rash all over my entire trunk. Also lost my hair. I got the runs. I couldn't control my bowels and had to be very careful what I ate. I would get mouth sores as well. You name it I had it. It was terrible.

    I was done with Cancer

    Decision Point

After having my left Kidney removed. Then a year later having a tumor removed from my right lung and month after that one removed from my left lung. A year after that I had another tumor show up again in my right lung which required them to remove the lower third of my right lung I decided I was sick of this pattern and didn't want to continue to have hospital visits. I have not had any cancer show up in my body since I made this decision about my life. It's been 5 years now come January since I have had any tumors and I intend to keep it that way.
