    Double Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

I started out only needing a lumpectomy but cancer was found in the margin and then another surgery for partial mastectomy and more cancer found. Decided I did not want to chase it any more and had a double mastectomy. Good thing I did. Both breasts had DCIS. I always had large breasts and feel so free and healthy without my breasts. No reconstructive surgery for me.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

I had a bad liver to begin with but the chemo made it worse. Had to stop after 3 months. Blood sugar rose so had to take diabetes meds and the steroids made me look like a linebacker.
