    Misdiagnosed

    Oh No

I had pain in the middle of my back at the T- 4 level. But since I ran 5 miles every other day and did yoga and weight lifting, my doctor thought it was only a pulled muscle. He sent me to physical therapy. I then tried massage, accupuncture and finally, went to a chiropractor. It was the chiropractor who said I should go back to the doc and ask for an MRI. That finally revealed tumors on my spine. By that time however, I was unable to walk.

    Implant chemotherapy port

    Procedure or Surgery

Getting the port implanted was a relief! No more stabbing at my quickly collapsing veins.

    External radiation

    Radiation

I was paralyzed and unable to walk. Radiation restored my ability to walk in a very short period of time. Mostly, it was painless. No open sores or problems with burns.
