    Oh No

    While my sister was fighting non-hodkins lymphoma I was diagnosed for the first time with DCIS Feb 2004.

    Radiation

    Using my lunch hour to go to hospital, undress, radiation took 30 seconds, get dressed and head back to work! Minimal impact on daily life? Shared the radiation room with my sister and her father-in-law.

    Double Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

    Bi-lateral mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction! Six weeks of recovery. Six hand granades sent home with me to drain several times a day! Minimal Impact to Daily Life? Four children under 9 years old and can't do anything with them!
