    Other

    Procedure or Surgery

After a few rounds of radiation,I had to have a g tube placed for tube feeding because I got to the point where I couldn't eat.Even after 5yrs. Later I have trouble eating due to dry mouth.I don't have enough saliva to moisten my food when I'm eating,I have to always have something to drink to help get my food moistened and help get it down.I do take medication for the dry mouth. It also takes longer for me to eat now.Sometimes I even get tired of chewing certain foods that is more drier than others.Even certain textures of food gives me problems to eat, such as rice

    Other Care

Follow up care after my chemotherapy and radiation treatment,to keep check that the cancer was gone and not come back.Every 3 months I had to have and endoscopy to look down my throat with a tube to check for any signs of cancer. This month makes me a 5 year cancer survivor.
