    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I felt a pecan sized lump in February. I immediately knew but chose denial. I am very poor so I finally got myself into a free clinic in June. By that time it had already grown to the size of a small apple, official measurement was 7.5 cm. I was sent to Oklahoma City for a mammogram and biopsy. The lady that did the biopsy told me it would certainly come back cancer. That was the first time I cried.

    Implant chemotherapy port

    Procedure or Surgery

I was told we have to move fast. I would receive chemo, mastectomy, then more chemo. I would be bald within a month and this port was necessary to facilitate all the Chemo. I went and got a short hair cut and rounded up several wigs. I still miss my bra-strap length hair.
