Whether to have a lumpectomy or double mastectomy.

    Decision Point

Once I received the results from the BRAC test that I was positive, my mind was made up to go for the double mastectomy.

    Double Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

I was swollen for 6 weeks. Perhaps that was due to expanders?

Lost most of my toe nails. Finger nails lifted and were very sore. Lost hair a few weeks after first treatment. Food lost taste.

    Finished treatment

    Celebration

After 10 weeks from last treatment my energy level began to slowly return. My hair began to sprout and there was a wisp of hair growing. Six months from my last treatment, I began to go without my wig.
