    Pain

    Side Effects

I am near the end the the expansion fills (at 325cc) The last few weeks have been painful. I have taken Alive and Dr. Gave me 5mg Valium for muscle spasms) I know it's kind of growing pains but I am hoping when the waiting period is started that the pain will subside. I would like to know others experiences on the expansion. I like my DR. but he's not as forthcoming on what to expect unless I ask and that's usually after the fact.

    Side Effects

Two weeks ago had what I hope is my last expansion fill. It was overfilled by an extra 25cc. It made it the the most painfull two weeks. This afternoon I have another appointment and hopefully no more fill and maybe a surgery date for the switch. I am so ready to be done. I'll post later. So thankful for this site. <3

    Breast Reconstruction (Implant)

    Procedure or Surgery

As of Monday March, 19 I had my final implant surgery. As others stated this was a piece of cake compared to the mastectomy. Drains and minor lifting restrictions. Just recouperation.

    Finished treatment

    Celebration

I finished my final reconstruction three weeks ago. Healing nicely and I just need a baseline MRI in June for my surgeon. Pain has been minimal. Thankful to be on the other side of this journey. It has humbled me to learn to accept help from others. I tended to be a control freak. About a week after the mastectomy I tried to put some laundry in the machine and my hubby scolded me and ratted me out to my FB friends . During a time when we prepare for a holy time which requires a whole house cleaning , I was blessed to have 6 women come thru and do this cleaning for me. I felt so much love during this trial and my faith and friends have brought me thru stronger than ever.

    Psychosocial

    Other Care

I had my 3 month MRI and I have a clean bill of health. Now I'm dealing with post-cancer-depression. I have an apt. with a cancer survivor psychologist. I am also trying some mild Paxil for a short while.
