    Diagnosed

    Oh No

My mother had colon and ovarian cancer. I was shocked to find out I had breast cancer. No history in my family of breast cancer. After my oh no, I realized that I would be okay either way. If God took me to it, he would get me through it.

    External radiation

    Radiation

Radiation was a breeze. I only had to have 16 treatments, and didn't experience any burning until the last day. Medicated ointment helped with the discomfort.

    Minimal Side Effects: Strongly Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Strongly Agree

    Fatigue (tiredness)

    Side Effects

I felt fine until about 2 pm, and my brain and body shut down. It didn't matter what was going on, I had to go to sleep. I was pretty tired the rest of the day, spending most of it on the couch, but by morning I was ready to go again. This lasted a couple of weeks after radiation was over.
