Diagnosed
Oh No
July, 2011 diagnosed with stage II Nodal Marginal Zone B Cell NHL after having a biopsy of lymph node in neck. April, 2012 upgraded to stage III but doctors said I still did not meet the criteria to begin treatment for low grade lymphoma. July, 2012 had biopsy of enlarged lymph node in breast. Pathology showed infarcted or necrotic lymph node. October, 2012 had biopsy of 2nd enlarged lymph node in breast. This time pathology shows high grade lymphoma. Waiting for next PET scan on November 5th with doctor's appointment on the 7th. My Gynecologist recommends immediate treatment. I'm really kind of scared and freaked out because with the initial diagnosis of low grade lymphoma the docs said it might be years before I need chemo.
Surgery
Procedure or Surgery
After having several bouts of swollen lymph nodes in both sides of my neck, which were diagnosed as parotid gland infections, I underwent a needle aspiration and then a lymph node biopsy. I was diagnosed with NHL.
