Lumpectomy
Procedure or Surgery
I am very happy with the results of my surgery. I have a very good surgeon who made a really neat incision and I had a couple of uncomfortable days but that was all. It was Cancer .
Axillary Lymph Node Dissection
Procedure or Surgery
Yesterday I had the surgery to clip the Lymph nodes . They will be sent off to find out if they are Cancerous .I had a PET scan on Monday.I will call Friday to get the results but the Doctor said it looked "Good". I feel sore but the Doctor said he had to fish around to find them as they were very deep. The incision for this is larger than the Lumpectomy. When they get the results then that will determine if I am to get Radiation or Chemo. They are leaning towards Radiation. Does anyone have any tips to help the Radiation go smoothly? I am afraid I will be burned!
Lymphectomy results
Celebration
Pet scan and Lymph nodes are Cancer free!!! Will see the ONC January 5th to decide on treatment. Leaning toward Radiation.
