At a loss. Very unexpected. My mom is 75, healthy, active, non smoker, non drinker. How is this possible to someone who has been healthy all her life? Her mom (my grandma) just celebrated her 98th birthday this year.

Entire stomach was removed. Trouble eating. Can't keep food down. Difficulty finding foods that don't upset digestion.
Chemotherapy

Stage IIIc. Started chemo 10/29/12, 5 days Irinotecan. Next month radiation chemo combo. Four weeks after that chemo again, repeat four weeks after that.
Having colonoscopy and endoscopy

Today it's my turn for endoscopy and colonoscopy. With Mom, aunt and two uncles diagnosed with stomach cancer my primary dr and I need to know how I'm doing. Getting blood work done too. This way they can start monitoring me and I have peace of mind. I'm 50.

Cancer has spread to lymph nodes in her neck. Stage IV now. Chemo is working and has shrunk lump in her neck down. Her mouth is sore with chemo but getting better everyday.
