    Diagnosed

    Oh No

Had a pain in my leg. Orthopedic ordered an MRI. Test showed a large tumor in my leg. Biopsy confirmed Adenocarcinoma of the lung. To date I have never had a lung symptom. PET scan showed a small spot on my lung, and one node.

    External radiation

    Radiation

About four months after I completed radiation, I had a reaction. My leg got swollen, red and I felt pain. I thought the tumor must be back. After MRI and CAT scans, it was determined that I had a delayed reaction to radiation. It took several months but it cleared up on it's own.

    Lost loved one

    Loss

In early spring, I lost a dear friend that I met a chemo. It's always hard to loose someone you care for but it forces you to look at your own mortality.

    Cancer has spread/Metastasized

    Oh No

Developed Bell's Palsy. The testing revealed that I not only had Bell's on both sides of my face. That is very rare. I also had new tumors in my brain on my lung , liver and spine. It was back with a vengeance.

    Other

    Radiation

I agreed to whole brain radiation. It shrunk the tumors and I'm told it will continue to work for a while. New MRI will be scheduled for the end of NOV.
